about

DUOS2022

This is the fourth in a series of digital releases in partnership with the label Relative Pitch Records.

I've started the year with a good deal of inspiration for this new project - DUOS2022. As can be gathered from its title, it’s an year long project, a continuation and development of my curated live concert series in Berlin which started as DUOS2020/2021.

The recording of Bagra was done in one breath. It was deeply enjoyable to be in a state of completely circulating synergy, deep understanding and liberation. The two long tracks of the album are the first we played, released without any editing. The mix allows the listeners to experience an aural sensation changing between extreme closeness and wide openness. Susana and I didn't want any associative words relating to the album, so we embraced the idea of naming the tracks. Bagra and Geraldina are the two names that each of us chose independently from the other, from a long list of female names which I suggested. The music directly communicates everything else we'd like to say.
